LOOK: Overwatch Player Scores A Team Kill With Just ONE Orisa Mini-Grav

You'll Never Pull Off An Orisa Play Like This Again In Overwatch 2

The days of the original Overwatch game are numbered.

Players are now just enjoying the first game for what it is and what is has been, before they finally sink their teeth into Overwatch 2 later this year. And this player might've had a blast during one of their more recent games just because of one particularly amazing play.

Redditor u/mustardmanmaniac posted a video of them playing Orisa on the Overwatch subreddit, featuring an insane team kill using just one mini-grav. The feat, according to GameRant, involved impeccable timing and anticipation to lure the entire enemy team to their deaths off the ledge of Volskaya.

Here's the video of the POTG, which was so good that it has already earned over 5,800 upvotes at the time of this writing:

Now, it's not a team kill per se because it's just five players (though in OW2 it would be a team kill), but it's an increadible play nonetheless. Orisa's mini-grav wasn't designed to deal any damage at all, so pulling this off is an exercise in careful timing and great anticipation of the enemy team's movements.

As you can see, usermanmaniac waited until the enemy team came out of the left side of the spawn, perhaps in an attempt to sneak up to the point. They just waited by the corner of the building and popped Orisa's mini-grav close to the ledge, pulling everybody into the water and killing them.

Either way, almost all of the commenters seemed impressed by the POTG. They also commented how that may have caused the enemy team to never take the same route along the ledge again - though somebody argued that if it were lower-ranked players, they may have done the same thing.

A few others, though, are now lamenting that such a play can no longer be pulled off in the next game because of the extensive Overwactch 2 Orisa rework.

Overwatch 2 is due for last-gen (PS4, Xbox One), current-gen (PS5, Xbox Series X/S), PC, and Nintendo Switch platforms on October 4th.

The Overwatch 2 Orisa Rework At A Glance

As previously mentioned, Overwatch 2's Orisa rework is no longer going to permit players to pull off team kills like that. That's because she's losing almost her entire old kit from the first game. Not only will she lose her mini-grav, but she also loses her old Supercharger Ul, her shield, in place of a new ultimate and knockback-inducing abilities.

According to Polygon, the replacement for her grav is the Energy Javelin, which will knock enemies back when it hits. They also get damaged if they hit a wall as the result of the knockback effect. Next up, she now has an ability called Javelin Spin that propels her forward, destroying projectiles in front, and knocking enemies back.

For her new ult, the devs gave her Terra Surge. Here's an explanation for how it works, because it's actually quite hard to explain in words:

All in all, the Overwatch 2 Orisa rework is so extensive, that some players are even saying Blizzard should've just introduced a new hero in its place. But what do you think?
