Everyone who owns Hitman 3 on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch will all get the new assassination sandbox map at no extra cost. This also includes those who have the game on Xbox or PC Game Pass. But as per Push Square, the map isn't the only new thing with update 3.120 as it also comes with a few new changes. This includes tweaks to Elusive Target Arcade, as well as how Activity Cards are displayed on the PS5.

You can check out the full patch notes on developer I/O Interactive's website if you like, as all of the changes are listed there. But in the meantime, Hitman 3's Ambrose Island DLC got its opening cinematic released in a video on YouTube, as shown here:

In the cinematic, you are given a primer on who your new target is as the iconic Agent 47. This time, your target is Noel Crest, a man who specializes in grand heists with "no regard for collateral damage." Crest and his team have teamed up with the so-called pirate queen Akka who's hiding out in a cove within the Andaman Sea, writes USA Today. Their goal is to raid a passing tanker that contains an extremely valuable piece of technology.

On Ambrose, players will face new challenges on a map filled with dense vegetation, twisting paths that allow you to approach your targets in different ways, and other twists and turns that have defined the Hitman franchise's assassination sandboxes.

As per I/O, Hitman 3's Ambrose Island DLC is set between the events of Hitman 2 and the iconic Hitman 3. Aside from the new location, players will also get new unlocks by completing gameplay challenges. Completing enough challenges will unlock XP, helping players progress through a total of 20 location mastery levels.

Every mastery level players gain will give them new starting locations on the map, new item stashes and weapons, and a new outfit called the Guerilla Wetsuit. Once again, Hitman is giving you immense freedom in terms of taking your target out.

Should You Play The Modern Hitman Trilogy?

The short answer: yes, yes you should. This statement is even more pronounced since the entire modern trilogy of the assassination games came to Xbox and PC Game Pass earlier this year. All three games included in the World Of Assassination trilogy are included. Just download to your console or PC, and play.

The entire trilogy was very well-reviewed by a lot of game publications, and for good reason. Eurogamer's review of Hitman 1's complete season have them gushing about the insane amount of player agency when it comes to taking out targets. And this agency was expanded even more in the sequels, culminating in the success of Hitman 3.

Here's a review of the entire trilogy by YouTuber Apox Fox, and it's safe to say he absolutely loved all three games:

Maybe this trilogy is the next game you must play.
