SD Gundam Battle Alliance Is Basically Kingdom Hearts With Mobile Suits: Review

Following a delayed demo for SD Gundam Battle Alliance, Bandai Namco has released its latest demo for the upcoming action role-playing game.

As announced by the said company, players can freely run the demo and continue with their progress when the full version finally comes on August 25th.

Gundam fans can now finally celebrate as SD Gundam Battle Alliance is on its way to bringing you the G Universe. The upcoming game will live up to the hype as Gunda, Battle Alliance will feature over 20 different Gundam Series.

An interesting demo review from Digital Trends, likens the upcoming reboot of the G Universe to action role-playing classic Kingdom Hearts. In the review, it is said that unlike previous editions of Gundam games, SD Gundam Battle Alliance is a surprising combo of everything Gundam and the crossover theme.

SD Gundam Battle Alliance Features Crossover With 20 Other Gundam Series

But why is this upcoming game like Kingdom Hearts? Kingdom Hearts is a series of action role-playing games by Square Enix and in collaboration with the Walt Disney Company. The game involves a lot of crossovers from different fictional universes. SD Gundam Battle Kingdom, on the other hand, involves a lot of dimension-hopping. This means that within the game, players will be able to access Gundam characters and storylines from other Gundam series. In just one game, players can embark on a journey consisting of almost the full history of Gundam.

In the game, the player that goes by the name 'The Commander' is assisted by a programmer named Juno Astarte in the fight for saving the Gundam Universe from the threat of some evil entities.

The storyline involves events that are called 'breaks' which are anomalies that cause the timelines of the said universe to collide with other realities. These 'breaks' prompt characters from other Gundam series to appear in the same universe.

Nintendo Everything also reports that the upcoming game will be full of action-packed scenes where your character will be going through the iconic mobile suits, familiar and even new locations, and cool events that involve a lot of high-octane fighting.

The game also promises visually-stunning combos, a wide array of mobile suit weaponry, and a 3-unit squadron consisting of Mobile Suits and pilots across all of Gundam history.

And surely, you would not miss the chance to again go 1-on-1 against a Battle Alliance character from an unknown organization whose mission is to stop you from saving the universe. Go through the storyline with an AI and 'Haro' as your guide.

The SD Gundam Battle Alliance Demo Is Free on Xbox

The player can tackle missions with friends in the game's Online Multiplayer Mode. The game can also be played solo and still be able to use your Mobile Suits in its ultimate forms.

Players should also take note that many functions of the game are limited in the demo version. Also, the content and BGM of the Battle Alliance demo have been edited and will differ from the full version of the game. The game also announces that multiplayer is available between demo versions and not available between demo versions of the full version of the game.
