Grand Theft Auto 5 Getting Jetpack as DLC? [RUMOR]

Game Code Points to GTA V Possibly Getting Jetpack

Of all of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' multitude of vehicles, zipping around in the jetpack was by far one of the more entertaining methods of travel. But it was also one of the many things that Rockstar absurdly left behind when the developer brought forth the more realistic GTA-verse with Grand Theft Auto IV, and the more recent Grand Theft Auto V. However, if some hidden lines of code are to be believed, it looks like the jetpack might be set for a comeback.

Modder Chr0m3 x MoDz was tooling around through the xex (Xbox 360 game) files on Grand Theft Auto V, and made an interesting discovery which he then shared with the Se7en Sins forum.

Sandwiched between the xex files for the "dead" and "drunk" player statuses was a new behavior for "jetpack." "It's used in a jump table so I can't really say much about it but it has definitely only appeared in the 1.12 xex," wrote Chr0m3. "I'm honestly not sure what this means as to whether Rockstar has used old code (Really doubt) or whether a DLC is incoming."

Additional searching turned up even more code:

Prop_SPA_Jetpack
CTaskJetpack
TASK_JETPACK
DRIVEBY_JETPACK // Setting it so you can shoot from the JETPACK just like parachute

While Rockstar has been busy continuing to add more and more content to GTA Online, they've left GTA V alone, though they have been hinting that the story mode will finally get some DLC. A post on the Rockstar Newswire from earlier this month teased that "some very exciting Story Mode DLC" would be announced soon.

As per usual, Rockstar's been mum ever since. Think this jetpack could be legit, or are we about as close to it as the game getting a Xbox One / PlayStation 4 release? Leave your thoughts below.
