'Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition' 'Halo' Mash-up Pack Release Date Announced, Hits This Week! [PRICE, TRAILER]

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Gets Halo Mash-up Pack This Week

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is getting its biggest content update yet with the Halo Mash-up: Minecraft Evolved pack, which contains new textures, music, items and character skins, as well as pre-made worlds from the Halo universe.

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition Announced, Hits In August

It's the next-greatest thing to a new Halo installment that fans will get for a while, and Microsoft Studios, Mojang and 343 Industries have just announced that the pack will hit Xbox Live tomorrow, May 28.

"The Mash-up pack, expertly crafted by 4J Studios, includes a Halo-themed texture set, themed menus and user interface, craftable items and 31 music tracks across the Halo franchise. Also available are 40 pixel-perfect character skins depicting beloved Halo characters such as the Master Chief, Cortana, Sergeant Johnson, Arbiter and more. For fans looking to fully immerse themselves into the Halo”universe, the Halo Mash-up pack also features pre-made worlds such as Silent Cartographer, Sandtrap, Valhalla, Blackout, Guardian, Blood Gulch and plenty of other well-known Halo vehicles and features."

What's best- this pack will be available for a mere $3.99 (€3.79/£2.69). Considering that mere skin packs have retailed for $2.99 and you're getting a massive amount of content this really seems like a great deal.

The one thing that still hasn't been revealed is if this will be transferable to the Xbox One Edition when it hits in August. Halo fans will certainly hope so but there hasn't been any official word just yet. We'll let you know when we find out.

For now, enjoy the soothing music and (blocky) sights of Halo in Minecraft.
