From Out Of The 'Blue Estate' Launches Today With Absurdly Violent Trailer

Lock and load, PlayStation 4 owners, the blood-soaked, black humor-filled noir rail shooter Blue Estate is now available worldwide in the PSN Store, and we can guarantee that it will take no prisoners, and it will also probably mouth off a funny one-liner while doing so.

Based on Viktor Kalachev's popular series of graphic novels, Blue Estate, will let "players play as Tony Luciano, the homicidal maniac son of LA's crime boss Don Luciano, and Clarence, a broke ex-navy seal who has been hired to clean up Tony's mess. While Tony wages war with the Sik gang in an attempt to get back his kidnapped "Helen of Troy", Clarence has to try to end that war against increasing odds."

Created specifically for use with the PS4 gyroscopic controller, Blue Estate is a rail shooter in the grand tradition of The House of the Dead and Time Crisis. Players are locked into a set path the computer puts you on, so your only job is to shoot, shoot, shoot! Moving your character can be such a drag sometimes, right?

Saints Row IV National Treasure Edition Launches In July

The game is a cinematic orgy of violence, which the trailer reminds us is "in no way associated with John Woo". Players are invited to bring a friend along for some local co-op bloodletting, which will also pit you against one another for most headshots to prove who has the bigger...gun. The friends that slay together, stay together.

A free demo is available to all PS4 players. The full game retails for $19.99 and PS+ members are given a hefty 20% discount. Watch the witty and absurdly violent trailer below and be sure to pick it up on the PSN store. Stay tuned for GameNGuide's review, coming soon.
