Nintendo eShop New Games This Week: 'Guacamelee!', 'Armillo' And A Free Demo Version Of 'Tomodachi Life'

Nintendo eShop New Games This Week Guacamelee And More

Have you already played through Shovel Knight and are looking for something else to keep that 3DS from becoming just another paperweight? The good folks at Nintendo have got your back. A whole host of new titles are hitting the Nintendo eShop this week, just in time for the long, lazy days of summer.

Hyrule Warriors Teases Day One DLC Costumes

First and foremost, the 3DS eShop is now offering a Tomodachi Life demo version for free. Not sure you want to support such a regressive title, but it's just too tempting? Now you can try it, and if you like it, you can even transfer your new Mii characters to the full version if you opt to purchase the full version.

If you're one of the 6 million Wii U owners, you simply must get Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, a retro action platformer set in an over the top stylized, Mexican world. "Explore lively towns and dangerous temples, unlock new luchador powers and suplex some skeletons in this expanded version of the original game." The title retails for $14.99 on the eShop.

Clash of Clans Update Goes Live At Last!

Next up is Armillo, the space armadillo. I am going to say that again: space armadillo. All else is unnecessary. Those are two words in the English language that have needed to be together since always. The game is a 3D platformer that may be the spiritual, next gen successor to Sonic the Hedgehog we never got. The game will cost $6 for the first three weeks, then go up to $8. It hits the eShop today.

Couple of big sales for those with wallet conscious personalities:
Kung Fu Rabbit - Starting today until 9 a.m. PT on July 10, the Kung Fu Rabbit games on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are 50 percent off in the Nintendo eShop.

ATLUS Games - ATLUS wants you to pack your map and go exploring! Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl and Etrian Odyssey IV: The Legends of Titan are on sale in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS starting at 9 a.m. PT on July 7 through 9 a.m. PT on July 21.

There are so many games we simply cannot get to, here's the remaining list:

And as always, if you haven't picked up Shovel Knight yet, GameNGuide's very own Alex Riviello thinks that you really, really should.
