Developer Frogwares is releasing the latest, non-Cumberbatch Sherlock Holmes game, subtitled Crimes & Punishments on September 30. In the run up to that date, the company has been releasing a series of new videos each week highlighting all the new mechanics and changes that are coming to the series.

The latest in the series focuses on the many locations Holmes and Watson will explore both in London and the surrounding suburbs. The game will take you all over, from Victorian manors to lush Chinese gardens to the very back alleys that made London a hard place to live. The Victorian world is faithfully recreated for your time-traveling experience in such places as Kew Gardens and the Roman city of St Albans, to name but a few.

Explore the streets of London as if you yourself were walking them, and follow in the footsteps of murder as you deduce your through six unique cases.

In addition, the game introduces Scotland Yard as sort a mission hub where you can return to and review clues, examine corpses because obviously their coroner missed something and generally bothering all the coppers in the area by showing them how bad they are at their jobs.

No matter the location, it sure looks beautiful. The game is the first in the series to utilize the Unreal Engine 4, which opens up a whole new world of graphical capabilities and expanded gameplay mechanics. Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments will be available at the end of the month on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3.
