Harvest Moon The Lost Valley Launch Trailer Released, Enthusiastic Narrator Tells You A Story About Yourself

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley for 3DS is set for a North American release on November 4, and a lengthy launch trailer has been released today.

Unlike most, which tend to be on the shorter side, this launch trailer takes a long look at the game by way of a narrated story about you, the player. The narration is, well...enthusiastic. You can watch and listen for yourself in the video below, which does show off quite a bit of the game.

As always in the series, you will improve a farm, grow crops, seek out a partner, and explore your neighborhood as the years pass by. All of this is depicted and explained in the trailer, and the developers also put a large focus on festivals.

"Festivals have always been an integral part of the Harvest Moon experience," said Taka Maekawa, Producer of Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley. "We've taken fan-favorite festivals and combined them with new festivals! It makes for an exciting experience in The Lost Valley."

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is technically the next entry in the series, as publisher Natsume holds the rights to the name, but should be something of a departure from the past games. The real spiritual successor to the series--currently in development at XSeed Games by most of the original team--is Story of Seasons. That game is due out on 3DS in February in Japan, and during this winter in North America.
