New Project CARS Xbox One Beta Screens Show Jaw Droppingly Gorgeous Next-Gen Racer [SCREENSHOTS]

Project CARS Is Stunningly Gorgeous On Xbox One; Will The Delay Be Worth It?

One can definitely say that Slightly Mad Studios' Project CARS is delayed. That's a fact. But you cannot ever claim that the game looks ugly. Far from it, it looks like the closest thing to driving a real car. No insurance required.

The game looks frighteningly good on the Xbox One. I'm getting whiplash just looking at the screenshots the company released. You can find a few select ones below, and the rest over at the game's Flickr page.

The screens come way of actual players who are getting in on that sweet beta.

You Bought More Call Of Duty Than Anything Else This Year

Project CARS (Community Assisted Racing Simulator) was funded entirely by you, racing fans and the team over at Slightly Mad. They don't have any big money financier telling em when to release or why. Sure, this may have caused a delay, but as we have seen these past few weeks with a few high profile games, better to delay than release an unpolished product. After all, bugs and bad coding make for their own delays.

The driving sim market is one dominated by Forza and Gran Turismo. Project CARS is hoping to distinguish itself from its venerable forebears by creating a more sandbox approach to driving and racing. Want that car? Here, it's yours. Want to race on the Nurburing in Germany? Hey, it's difficult, but you can absolutely do that the second you purchase the game.

The delay is hopefully worth it. Project CARS is out here in the States on March 17 and in Europe on March 20 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. A Wii U version is due out next November.
