Tales From The Borderlands iOS Available Now: Telltale's Adaptation Has Made Its Way To Mobile For $4.99

Tales from the Borderlands, Telltale's other new title that launched before its Game of Thrones adaptation, has now hit iOS.

Cities XXL Trailer Released, City Building Sequel Features Brand New Engine

The reason for delay is a bit of a mystery (the first episode launched November 25 in most regions), but the game is now available on the App Store. It runs on iPad 3 and up, iPhone 5 and up, and iPod Touch devices--all of which must be running iOS 7. It's optimized for the iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, and will cost you $4.99.

Right now, only the game's excellent first episode is available. This is the case on all platforms, and Telltale releases all of its series in such a manner. However, as on the other systems, you can by a season pass that will unlock the new episodes as they are released. This is cost effective in addition to being convenient, and will save you around 25 percent of what buying each episode individually would cost. In the iOS version, the pass for episodes 2 through 5 can be purchased in the in-game menu of Episode 1.

Alien: Isolation Adds New Nightmare And Novice Modes

Tales from the Borderlands puts you in control of two characters, Rhys and Fiona. The former is a Hyperion company man, as the image above will tell you, while Fiona is a Pandoran con artist. The game is based on Gearbox's Borderlands franchise, a console and PC shooter-RPG hybrid. Gearbox assisted in the title's development, helping to turn its action-oriented gameplay into narrative-driven Telltale experience.
