Physical Copies Of Dying Light Will Be Delayed Next Week In Europe And Other Territories; North America Is Just Fine!

Europe, Asia and Australia will be unable to purchase the physical copies of Techland's forthcoming open world zombie survival game Dying Light when it drops next week on January 27.

"There will be a short delay in the release of physical copies of Dying Light in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia," a statement from developer Techland posted to the game's official Facebook page stated. No other explanation had been given for the delay. Players will still be able to download the digital version - which also happens to be a bit more expensive - next Tuesday.

"The game will have a global digital release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC of January 27, 2015. As physical production has a longer lead time than digital there is some delay in the aforementioned territories.

North America, however, will receive the physical copies on time for the release date. This makes perfect sense considering every other country on the planet has way better internet than us, thereby allowing them easier access to digital copies of games. That will also make the inevitable Day One patch update easier to download when the servers are swamped.

Or, you could all do the sensible thing and just wait a few days for the game to fix whatever problems it will have. Not like you're going to play it on Day One anyways.

I, however, will take the news that North America is getting the physical copies before everyone else as another sign that America is #1! USA! USA!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to reboot. Stupid room-mate picked up the phone and I have to reset my 56k modem. It ain't easy being the king.
