Silent Hill HD Collection Patch Not Coming To Xbox 360, See What Is Wrong

A patch for the Xbox 360 version for Silent Hill HD Collection will not be released, according to a statement released by the games publisher Konami.  The patch was recently released for the PlayStation 3 version to fix framerate issues as well as a problem with the game's audio syncing, which have plagued the game since its release in March.

These issue will not be fixed for Xbox 360 gamers, because of "technical issues and resources," according to the statement.

"Plans for an Xbox 360 title update have been cancelled due to technical issues and resources," Konami said in a statement. "Konami apologizes to any players who are continuing to experience these issues on the Xbox 360 SKU."

Konami will continue to sell the Xbox 360 version of the Silent Hill HD Collection, and told gaming site JoyStiq, "that consumers with any questions regarding their purchase can contact Konami customer support."

Many of the issues that have plagued the Silent Hill HD Collection have been well documented on YouTube videos and can be seen below.

The Silent Hill HD Collection replaces all the muddy textures and character models from Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 with cleaner visuals.

In case you are unfamiliar with the series, Silent Hill is a survival horror video game published by Konami. The game is set in a multiverse consisting of reality and an alternate dimension. The series focus on ordinary people usually fighting off monsters to save a loved one. The game is in contrast to action-oriented survival horror video game that feature militant protagonist such as Capcom's Resident Evil.
