‘Reigns’ Latest News & Update: Game Lets Players Rule A Kingdom With A Swipe On Their Gadgets

Ruling a kingdom has never been easier and more complicated this time. The new "Reigns" game developed by Nerial and published by Devolver Digital let players do just that.

'Reigns' Game Objective - Stay In Power By All Means Necessary

The object of the "Reigns" game is deceptively simple. It is just to stay in power as long as possible. And of course one can only do that by making the right decision each turn, reports Kotaku.

'Reigns' Gameplay - Swipe Your Way To Success

And playing the new "Reigns" game is simpler still. The game presents the aspiring the ruler a card which has two option. To make a choice, all the player has to do is swipe the card either left of right, as each card has only two options. To choose the option the player wants, all he needs to do is swipe the card in that direction.

All Decisions Has Consequences In The 'Reigns' Game

Sound simple right? But it is not simple as it seems. With each mere swiping of the cards, it either prolongs one's reign a bit longer or edges one closer to his downfall.

And the "Reigns" game can get pretty creative. As players soon found out, death seems to lurk from every corner and each decision could be potentially lethal. Some players even report being killed by a talking skeleton for instance which just shows how deviously tricky the game could get.

'Reigns' Gameplay - A Balancing Act

But there are basics that players need to keep in mind. Each decision will affect four stats of the game, which players need to balance for longevity. These are the chuch, subjects, military and one's coffers. Too low stats in any of the four categories would definitely mean trouble.

The "Reigns" game is now available for $2.99. It is available for both iOS, Android, PC and Mac. Watch the "Reigns" trailer below to pique your interest.
