'Grand Theft Auto 6' Release Date: GTA 6 Coming To Gamescom 2016?

There are rumors that either "Grand Theft Auto 6" or "Red Dead Redemption 2" may be introduced at Gamescom 2016. Fans have long been waiting for the next installment of the two hit game franchises.

Rockstar has worked on several big titles like "Grand Theft Auto," "Red Dead Redemption," "Max Payne" and "Bully." Although the game developer has provided little details on whether they have been working on "Grand Theft Auto 6" or "Red Dead Redemption 2," fans continue to remain optimistic that one or both titles may launch soon. Previously, Rockstar teased that it is working hard on some exciting future projects that will be revealed in the near future.

Trusted Reviews stated that Rockstar may be preparing to make an announcement at Gamescom 2016, which happens later in August. However, the talks remain a rumor until an official confirmation surfaces from the studio. It is also possible that Rockstar may not need to rely on a major event to announce "Grand Theft Auto 6." Due to its big name in the market, "Grand Theft Auto 6" may be unveiled at any date in any approach Rockstar deems proper.

N4BB reported that Take-Two Interactive previously hinted about Rockstar's future projects, which fans speculate includes "Grand Theft Auto 6." Some believe that the game will release anywhere between 2018 and 2020, together with the launch of next-generation consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two. There are rumors that "Grand Theft Auto 6" has already started development and is already in its early stages. However, there are also talks that Rockstar is still busy capitalizing on the success of "Grand Theft Auto V," and is not in a rush to work on the sequel.

The gameplay of "Grand Theft Auto 6" is said to change slightly from its predecessor, focusing more on realistic driving experiences. GTA fans also shared how they hoped that the supercars in the next installment will be capable of various wheel spinning moves. "Grand Theft Auto 6" may have a female main character, to be voiced by Eva Mendes. There will allegedly be a male co-star, to be voiced by Ryan Gosling. The location has not yet been confirmed, although some of the possible places include Japan, London and Las Venturas.
