Millions of fans are now very excited for the forthcoming premiere of "Avatar 2" in theatres. Now, it seems like followers of the popular sci-fi series will be able to hear more reports soon after Stephen Lang revealed that the production is set to start in 2017.

Blastr reports that the production for "Avatar 2" is going to kick off in 2017. The entertainment news outlet was able to talk to the actor who confirmed that the entire cast and crew of the upcoming movie sequel is going to start next year.
"As the New Year turns, we start to shoot for the Avatar sequels," "Avatar 2" actor Stephen Lang has revealed. "I think that the whole process of making the films and opening the films will go to about 2023."
Stephen Lang, who portrays the character of Miles Quaritch, is expected to return in the "Avatar 2" movie. Well, most fans had thought that his character dies in the first "Avatar" film after taking two arrows to the chest. However, as early as 2013, the "Conan the Barbarian" actor has already confirmed that Miles Quaritch is certainly making a comeback in the sequel.

Though he was introduced as a villain in the first movie, Stephen Lang is expected to become the new lead star in the upcoming "Avatar 2" movie. Adding fuel to the speculations is the statement of "Avatar 2" creator James Cameron stating that the character of Stephen Lang is going to evolve in the upcoming sequels. In fact, GamenGuide has previously reported that Miles Quaritch will be saving Jake Sully and Neytiri after the new enemies kidnapped them.
