However, in an interview with Pop Sugar, the 32-year-old star explained that her appearance in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5 really means nothing. "Piper's outsides are becoming less and less important. She's kind of moving further and further away from the idea of what she thought she was," she said.
Taylor Schilling revealed that Piper is only getting more practical each day of her stay inside Litchfield Penitentiary. Her character is slowly adapting the nature inside the prison and that includes looking plain and simple. "The Lucky One" actress added that Piper is fighting to survive in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5 and brushing her hair won't help her.

To recall, in the last season, she was seen as a full-blown gangster and this might not be a good sign as she still stays in the jail.
