Assassin's Creed 3 Hidden Secrets DLC Release Date: The New Add-on Is Available Today For Season Pass Holders

Assassin's Creed III will be getting its first downloadable content expansion called the Hidden Secrets Pack. The add-on will be available on Tuesday Dec. 4 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, but only for gamers who purchased the AC3 Season Pass.

Hidden Secrets will launch next week on Dec. 11 for everyone else and the content will also be released on Wii U at a later date.The Hidden Secrets DLC is also free for PC gamers that purchased the Assassin's Creed III Deluxe Edition, which also includes all future downloadable content.

The Assassin's Creed III Season Pass is available for purchase for 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or $29.99 on the PlayStation Network. The pass provides gamers with more than 25 percent in savings versus purchasing each DLC separately.

The Hidden Secrets pack includes three missions: the Lost Mayan Ruins, the Ghost of War, and a Dangerous Secret. The new DLC will add an hour of gameplay and new weapons.

Gamers will also receive two single-player costumes including the Captain of the Aquila uniform and the traditional Colonial Assassin outfit as well as Redcoat and Sharpshooter characters for multiplayer.

Ubisoft also confirmed that the upcoming The Tyranny of King Washington DLC would be split into three separate packs.

"The Tyranny of King Washington," an all-new single-player campaign told through three episodic content packs that lets gamers experience an alternate history of the events following the American Revolution," Ubisoft said via press release on the game's forum. 

Here is a brief synopsis of The Tyranny of King Washington DLC:

"It's 1783 and the American Revolution is over, but the true battle is just beginning. Blinded by a thirst for unlimited power, George Washington has declared himself King. Now, our new hero Ratohnhaké:ton must dethrone the tyrant and return freedom to the land."

Assassin's Creed III is available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and Windows PC.
