Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) will be back together in "Arrow" Season 5, but only on the professional aspect. The two are the only ones who are left in the Team Arrow and it looks like they would do everything to work things out professionally.
Oliver, Felicity Back Together?
"They're both in crisis mode. Oliver's got two really big jobs, and [Felicity] is spinning out about Havenrock," Executive producer Wendy Mericle clarified to TVLine. "Until they've gotten some clarity for themselves, there's not much room for the relationship side of things." Evidently, Oliver will be seen in "Arrow" Season 2 balancing his life as the Green Arrow and the newly-elected mayor.
Felicity, on the other hand, still has to know how to handle things as she accidentally killed a thousand for detonating a nuclear bomb. To recall, the role of Emily Bett Rickards tried to save the Star City, but she had to place the bomb in another area, ending killing innocent people. In "Arrow" Season 5, Felicity will have to face the reality and fix her mess. Hence, the two will work out together professionally, setting aside any kind of romance they have.
Laurel Lance/Black Canary Returns In 'Arrow' Season 5
Meanwhile, Wendy Mericle also hinted that Katie Cassidy will be back in "Arrow" Season 5, ComicBook reported. The 29-year-old star is going to reprise her role as Laurel Lance/Black Canary and will not only appear in the action television series, but also in other DC TV Universe. In fact, the actress herself revealed that she will be first seen in the premiere episode of "Arrow" Season 5.
Katie Cassidy revealed that she is now excited to grace "The Flash," "Legends" and, of course, "Arrow" Season 5. Some believe that as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) managed to save his mother, the Flashpoint timeline he created brought Laurel back. However, there also hearsays that he will be only seen in flashback scenes. "Arrow" Season 5 will return on Oct. 5 on The CW.
