The clampdown on torrent sites continues, mostly affecting the big name and popular sites. The Pirate Bay, KickAss and Torrentz have folded though there are still some up and running as we speak.
With the shutdown of the big wigs, the previously overlooked sites have taken center stage. There are still a lot online but for those who want better direction, Torrentz2.eu could be of some assistance.
Torrentz2.eu is a clone site of Torrentz which made a voluntary exit last month. The site picks off from what the original site offered, directing downloaders to pirated content that connected various torrent sites.
Torrentz2.eu is free and indexes torrents from other sites. Once searches are made, they offer visitors the option to filter and refine searches. To date, the site has indexed about 55, 105,850 torrents collected from roughly 64 domains. While the site leaves a lot of room for improvement, the fact that most leading sites have folded makes it a keen alternative in downloading pirated content.
Are Torrent search sites safe?
With previous popular sites going down, torrent search sites are slowly turning out to be the new recourse for folks looking for certain shared content. Aside from Torrentz2.eu, other sites that could offer some aid include Torrentz.ec and Torrentzeu.to. They follow the same philosophy of Torrentz, though Torrentz.ec offers certain features like voting that would require the login credentials.
Visit and download at your own risk
Downloads from these new sites will carry the same risks from other torrent sites that are not well-known. Hence, folks are reminded of the perils (i.e. malware) that comes along with them.
