Dead Space 3 and the Infinite Item Glitch - Part 2

EA really didn't think this through, and after all that micro-transaction hubbub (excuse my language), I have to thank them for that. Yet another way has been found to circumvent the system and save you bucks, both virtual and real.

Discovered by OnlySP, "the glitch takes place in Chapter 14, after visiting Ellie to collect a keycard. By continuing the save from this point, you'll have access to two lockers. Open them up, collect the items, and then save your game and quit. Reload your save, and the lockers will be restocked, with their resources fresh for the taking once more. This can be repeated infinitely, satiating any loot hoarder's needs."

Sell the items to your hearts content, or until your wallet is bulging at the seams. Lather, rinse, repeat. The video below explains all...

I like to think that some developerr who disagreed with EA's microtransaction nonsense decided to put measures like this in the game, but it's probably owed more to oversight on the company's part than a rogue, vigilante programmer.

In other Dead Space news, Visceral recently announced a DLC is on the way.

Dubbed Awakening, Visceral describes that the DLC will have some of the "darkest chapters as the Necromorph battles become even more gruesome and terrifying than before." While the developer didn't elaborate, that to me spells out new, crazy, screwed up necromorphs, and/or some bizarre backstory.

The pack will be available on all platforms, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, through Origin, PSN and XBL, respectively. Out in March, players can grab the DLC for $9.99, or 800 MicroSoft Points.
