‘The Punisher’ Release Date, News & Update: Frank Castle Turns Into Meaner Vigilante? ‘Crime’ Confirmed As Working Title?

"The Punisher" Frank Castle is back in Netflix with a new title, "Crime" as revealed by Comicbook. Photos have been shown that filming has taken place with Jon Bernthal as the vigilante. The series of photos seems like a kick off from Castle's first appearance in "Daredevil" Season 2.

The photos released by Just Jared shows an image of Frank Castle beaten almost to death, blood all over his face, with plenty of beard to be noticed. Fans speculate that with the vigilante's experience, he will be a meaner character in "The Punisher." Early on, we know that Frank was a United States Marine Corps that rose to the rank of a captain. His wife and two children were killed by a group of mobster in Central Park, New York. Unfortunately, the NYPD was related with the Mafia that killed his family.

Joining Frank Castle's character in "The Punisher," Ben Barnes is also reported to be meaner in the Netflix series. Barnes is rumored to be the villain of the vigilante, playing the role of Bobby Saint. His family is related to illegal drugs and weapons. Barnes, 35 years old, is more popularly known as Prince Caspian in the movie "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian."

Having a working title "Crime" seems appropriate for "The Punisher" since Frank Castle has vowed to fight crime after his family was killed by the mafia. He uses state of the art weapon and his training in the US Marine Corps was used very helpful. Unlike other super heroes, Frank Castle has no super human powers but has a level 6 fighting power.

"The Punisher" is reported to be filming this year and is set to be released on 2017 together with "The Defenders" and "Iron Fist." Stay tuned to GameNGuide for the latest news and update of "The Punisher."
