WWE Latest News & Update: Michael Hayes Defends ‘Fabulous Freebirds’ From Bret Hart Criticism

WWE legend Bret Hart is at it again, jawing at other wrestlers on certain matters. This time around, he has placed criticism on how the “Fabulous Freebirds” were selected over his late brother Owen Hart for the WWE Hall of Fame.

Bret Hart’s contention is simple. Owen is a key figure in the WWE and contributed immensely to that freak accident in 1999 at an “Over the Edge” pay-per-view. He fell from 78-feet as he was being lowered into the ring and died from internal bleeding.

Brett Hart’s contention is that his brother Owen Hart was someone who spent a great deal of time in the WWE. That alone merits a place in the WWE HOF but the WWE opted to fete the “Fabulous Freebirds” who were hardly made an impact in the WWE or WWF, Forbes reported.

Jab wasn’t solely for Owen Hart

In that interview, Bret Hart was not batting solely for his brother. He also singled out other names like Rick Rude, “The Fabulous Rougeaus” and Demolition. With a long list of stars who toiled in the WWE, why did the “Fabulous Freebirds” get inducted ahead of them?

Michael Hayes responds

Michael Hayes emotionally responded to Bret Hart via Twitter asking the “Hitman” to take out his troubles with him and not Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts. Gordy passed away in 2001 while Roberts died in 2012.

Hayes is currently one of the creative writers for WWE (SmackDown) and affirmed the allegations of Bret Hart. That included being drunk though racked in revenue wherever they went, Wrestlinginc.com reported.

Bret Hart’s dish follows a previous shot taken at Seth Rollins for someone he calls dangerous inside the ring. Hart singled out the alleged recklessness the “Architect” had been employing through his matches, something that led to injuries to John Cena and Finn Balor and the forced retirement of Sting.
