'Vikings' Season 4 Part 2 Premiere, News & Update: The Rise & Fall Of A Viking’ King, Ragnar Returns; Season 5 Underway?

"Vikings" Season 4 is gearing up for its gigantic return on the homeviewers' screen for the second half of the season. After its successful ending in April this year, the highly praised Viking historical drama is all packaged for the midseason premiere on November 30, 2016.

According to Gamenguide, Ragnar Lothbrock (Travis Fimmel) will return to Kattegat after his long absence of several years. In "Vikings" Season 4 Part 2, nobody knows what happen to him after he lost in a bloody battle against his brother Rollo (Clive Standen). He will return as defeated man into his kingdom and to find himself unwanted by his grown up sons and unrespected by his tribesmen.

PremiereDate has revealed the renewal of the series on the History channel. "Vikings" Season 4 Part 2 will have a sequel, season 5 and there are reports that negotiations are underway for the scripts and the casting.

"Vikings" Season 4 Part 2 has been filmed in Ireland. The storyline portrays the adventures of the Vikings in their barbaric conquest of France and England. Ragnar is the legendary Viking who rose from being a Viking farmer to a warrior-raider of the West, England. His rise to power was made possible by Lagertha, his ex-wife, his brother Rollo and his fellow tribesmen.

 Vikings" Season 4 Part 2 is getting a follower rating of more than 2 million viewers for each episode's showing. This record is rather low compared to other shows, but this encourages the show runners to enhance the series' standing.

Creative plans to bring the "Vikings" Season 4 Part 2 to new highs would be to take in new casts and twists. As revealed by its writer, Michael Hirst, he would like to see a meeting of Ragnar and King Ecbert on the second half of the series.
