2016 World Series: Indians Have Two Chances to Win World Series in Cleveland

The Cleveland Indians have two chances to end their 68-year-old title drought and both will be at home. They currently lead the series 3-2 as their starter Josh Tomlin goes up against Chicago Cubs starter Jake Arrieta in Game 6 of the 2016 World Series at Progressive Field.

The Cubs stole home-court advantage when they won Game 2 and were scheduled to play games three, four, and five at Wrigley Field - the first time the World Series is to be played in Chicago in 71 years. However, they failed to take advantage of their home court and lost two games in a row, falling behind in the series 3-1. With their back against the walls, they were able to outlast the Indians in game five behind the heroics of closer Aroldis Chapman.

Arrieta and Tomlin have already faced each other earlier in the series when the Indians topped the Cubs 1-0 and gave the Indians a 2-1 series lead. There's a lot more at stake now and it could mean the first World Series for the Indians in 68 years and another year for the Cubs 'title drought or the first World Series for the Cus in 108 years and another year to the title drought of the Indians.

The Indians relievers Andrew Miller, Bryan Shaw and Cody Allen appeared in game three and they are expected to appear again for Game 6. Collectively, their bullpen has set the MLB record with the most number of shutout games in a single postseason with five.

The Cubs do have the tools to mount a comeback but they will have to do it in hostile territory. "I feel like we play our best with our backs against the wall," said Kris Bryant, the Cubs' third baseman. Hopefully, we can go out there and win Game 6 because you never know what can happen in a game 7."

The stage is set, all preparations are done and the players are good to go. "We did what we had to do [in Chicago]," said Mike Napoli, the Indians first baseman. "We put ourselves in a position to try to win it in a crazy atmosphere, you know?"

The City of Cleveland is hyped up and so are the Cleveland Cavaliers. The reigning NBA champions moved their game against the Houston Rockets to an earlier schedule so everybody in Cleveland can watch the historic Game 6.
