Company of Heroes 2 will have a new mode called Theater of War, developer Relic announced.
The new mode will offer single player and co-op missions based on specific battles from World War II. "The mode includes solo challenges where players are pitted against overwhelming odds, AI battles against an enemy commander with a unique play style and co-operative scenarios for fans to enjoy with their friends," according to a release.
Greg Wilson, Producer of Company of Heroes 2, says, "We get a lot of requests from fans to showcase specific conflicts from the war and it isn't always possible to fit these into the campaign. Theater of War gives us the opportunity to deliver these new gameplay experiences to our fans."
At launch Theater of War will include a mission set in 1941 and players can be either the Soviet Army or the Germans. Each faction will have nine of their own missions.
Company of Heroes 2 will release on PC on June 25.
