In the midst of the US presidential election, GoPro just announced in the press release this Tuesday that their first drone action-camera is being recalled due to power loss during its operation. After 16 days of its release in the market, the company is expecting returns of about 2,500 units sold from October 23.

Based on the press release issued by GoPro, there was no reported injuries or property damage caused by the Karma drone. According to the GoPro's Founder and CEO Nicholas Woodman, "Safety is our top priority," hence, the recall of the product. He also pointed out that there were a small number of Karma owners who have reported the power loss when in use.

Moreover, the company is in full coordination with both U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Federal Aviation Administration to address and resolve the issue.

GoPro's Karma drone is being sold at $799. Thus, they are offering a full refund for the buyers of Karma drone. It may be returned to GoPro or to their place of purchase. Owners may visit their official site for a detailed recall and return instructions.

Just last Thursday, GoPro has announced that they have experienced issues with the production of Hero5 Black and Karma and had difficulties in reaching the required volume based on demand by the fourth quarter of this year. With this, the shipping of GoPro's Karma was moved from October to November as reported by BloombergTechnology.
