'Mega Man X3' Latest News & Update: Classic Nintendo Game Now Available In New 3DS Virtual Console

One of the rarest games of Nintendo is "Mega Man X3" and it will be available in the new Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console tomorrow.

The game, which costs $7.99, is cheaper than what was projected by Price Charting. According to Game Informer, it is a great game but it is hard to come across.

"Mega Man X3" is the first game that allows you to play as Zero. Yet it is odd since the "Mega Man X" series begins with Zero who is the most playable character even before there is a shift in starring Mega Man.

"Mega Man X3" is known to be "Rockman X3" in Japan and it is a side scrolling action game that was developed and published by Capcom initially for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in January 1996 according to Giant Bomb.

It is the sequel to "Mega Man X2" and the third game of the series. In this game, players could control Mega Man X as well as Zero for the first time. Zero was the Reploid ally of Mega Man X and he could be called in times of tough situations using his energy sword.

"Megaman X3" was considered the last game that features the original gameplay of Mega Man X. So, after what has happened in "Mega Man X2" where the Maverick Sigma was defeated for the second time by Mega Man X and Zero, the rebels were neutralized using the technology made by Reploid scientist Dr. Doopler.

"Megaman X3" starts its story in utopia near Doople Town where the scientist, Dr. Doopler, lived peacefuly with reformed Mavericks. However, it is not long when they went berserk and caused mayhem to their town. X and Zero thought that Dr. Doopler was responsible so they decided to defeat the eighth Maverick leader and stop the plans of the mad scientist.

Last April 26, 1996, an enhanced version of "Mega Man X3" was released in Japan for PlayStation and Sega Saturn. On March 1997, the same was published by Virgin Interactive in Europe. The core game is still the same but some features are added such as animated full motion video cut scenes, new sound effects and rearranged soundtrack.

The newer version was released in Japan 1997 and in North America in 1998. This version was also included in the collection of "Mega Man X" for PS2 and GameCube that was released last 2006.

Finally, after more than 10 long years, fans can play "Mega Man X3" once again. The game will be available in New 3DS Virtual Console and this is something to look forward to tomorrow!
