Weibo, the much-loved chinese networking site, has set mobile phone fans on excitement mode after it leaked images of the up and coming Meizu Pro 7. The new Meizu Pro 7 smart phone is rumored to become one of the closest competitor of the Xiaomi and the Mi Mix edgeless smartphone line.
According to what the fans have gathered, the new Meizu Pro 7 will be running on the powerful Helio X25 processor together with a 6GB RAM and 64 GB or 128GB of internal storage. It is also set to have a 5.6 inch display that will have 2160x1080 pixel resolution with Super AMOLED.
Other features of the new Meizu Pro 7 that also making all the fans curious and excited is the mCharge 4.0 that comes with the unit. Users will no longer have to wait for hours or worry about leaving their units while charging because with the Meizu Pro 7 fast charging will only be 40 minutes or under. Security was also further improved after developers installed an ultrasonic biometric fingerprint scanner on the Meizu Pro 7. Similar to other smart phones in the market, the Meizu Pro 7 will then be unlocked or locked with the user's fingerprint.
Following the latest trend of smart phones that have bezel-less designs, the new Meizu Pro 7 is rumored to have high ratio between screen to body. According to the leaked images, the Meizu Pro 7 will almost have an edge to edge, borderless design. It will be quite similar to the Mi Mix line up or their other competitors like Apple or Samsung.
Fans are a bit confused though as some sources have also mentioned that the Meizu Pro 7 will be running with the Mali G-71 Vulkan-enabled GPU and the new Cortex-A73 CPU with the Kirin 960 chipset. Aside from that, other leaked images have shown that the Meizu Pro 7 will only be 6.55mm thin. In terms of the camera, the Meizu Pro 7 will reportedly have either a 5MP or 8MP front camera with a 12MP rear camera.
Smart-phone that are bezel-less may be much more fragile than other units on the market but the Meizu Pro 7 will definitely still be a hit with its fans. The Meizu Pro 7 will be launching on December 24 at about 2,699 to 3,099 Yuan or $300 to $400 USD.
