Nintendo Switch Release Date, News & Update: ‘Xenoblade Chronicles X’ To Get Switch Port; Release Date Revealed

More games are getting lined up for release in time for the launch of the upcoming Nintendo Switch. Latest gaming news indicates that "Xenoblade Chronicles X" will be ported to the Switch, but not by its original developer, Monolift Soft.

The Nintendo Switch, a hybrid console, is expected to change the gaming experience for many players. With its unique design and features that boast of being both a home console unit and handheld gaming device, the Switch promises the portability of many games.

With a preview clip that teased of gaming titles such as "Mario," "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "Splatoon" and more, many game companies have already expressed their support for the upcoming console. Avid players are looking forward to discovering other games that will be made available to the Nintendo Switch that now includes an installment to "Xenoblade Chronicles."

Recently, gaming enthusiast and report Laura Kate Dale teased that "Xenoblade Chronicles X" will be ported to the Switch. In a Twitter message posted on Nov. 23, Wednesday, Dale mentioned that the said gaming title will be released in 2018.

However, Monolift Soft will not be responsible for the said game's Nintendo Switch development. The game developer is already working on a separate Switch project, according to Dale.

Meanwhile, game studio Monster Games may be tasked to develop the Switch version for "Xenoblade Chronicles X." Gaming speculations posted on Digital Trends highlighted how the said gaming company previously ported "Xenoblade Chronicles" to the Nintendo 3DS. With the game studio's earlier experience, Monster Games may be asked to do a similar project for the Switch.

In other news, GameStop executive Paul Raines recently gushed over the Nintendo Switch and its features. In an interview with GameSpot, the CEO described the hybrid console as an interesting device that may have the potential for motion control. He stated, "A movement-related game is more fun for kids ... taking those [Joy-con controllers off] and then the master controller, you can really do a lot of interesting things with that in gameplay."
