The "iZombie" Season 3 may see Detective Clive Babineaux turn into a zombie. Actor Malcolm Goodwin may have hinted that his character becomes one of the undead in Seattle.
Goodwin talked about his excitement for the instalment and about his expectations for Babineaux in the "iZombie" Season 3. The actor admitted that he has not really thought much about where his character is going in the instalment.
However, he revealed that Clive Babineaux has a lot of processing to do in the "iZombie" Season 3 premiere. The detective has a lot to take in and understand following the events in the Season 2 Finale. This includes Liv Moore being a zombie.
Goodwin said that when the "iZombie" Season 3 opens, Babineaux has a lot of adjusting to do. He needs to step back and think about the past events in his life. He needs time to process that Liv is a zombie and that he may never get back with his girlfriend Dale.
Most importantly, Goodwin said that Detective Clive Babineaux must learn to exist within the zombie world. Does this mean that Babineaux turns into one of the undead too in the "iZombie" Season 3?
"[Clive is] part of Team Z now, so he's going to be a very valuable asset in terms of his access, his training, his willingness to survive and sacrifice himself for others," Malcolm Goodwin told TV Line.
Of course, his statement could mean several things. Goodwin could just be referring to his character needing to learn to live amicably with the zombies. Likewise, he could just be referring to Babineaux's willingness to help his zombie friends, if the need arises.
However, it is interesting to point out that the series almost turned Clive Babineaux into a zombie in the Season 2 Finale. If Vivian Stoll and her men had not arrived, surely the detective could have been one of the undead too. This means, there is a likely chance that the writers could revisit this plot and turn Babineaux into a zombie in the "iZombie" Season 3.
