Disney gave a treat to its viewers an early Christmas present the day after Thanksgiving. A special preview of "Descendants 2" was aired in Disney Channel on Friday. Disney fans were given a chance to have their first look at the most anticipated sequel.
Dove Cameron used an idiomatic expression "to blow out of water" to describe "Descendants 2". She expressed her utter confidence about the movie in the 45-second sneak peek.
On the other hand, co-star Sofia Carson said that the sequel will allow viewers to determine what makes them successful and that is through knowing where they come from. "We're part Auradon and part Isle," she added, referring to the locations in "Descendants 2"
Disney's musical fantasy film "Descendants" was released in 2015. It focused around the children of four infamous villains who are adjusting their lives outside the prison island with the intention of stealing the wand of the Fairy Godmother and release their parents from prison. All Disney villains live in the Isle of the Lost, but they decided to make a new start at the Kingdom of Auradon as reported in Yahoo.
In the "Descendants 2" Mal played by Cameron will be the daughter of Maleficent in "Sleeping Beauty". Evie played by Carson will be the daughter of the Evil Queen in "Snow White". Jay played by Booboo Stewart will be the son of Jafar in "Aladdin". Carlos played by Cameron Boyce will be the son of Cruella de Ville in "101 Dalmatians".
"Decendants 2" will be premiered in summer 2017. It will test the four children of the infamous villains, sending them again to the Isle of the Lost where they will be introduced to three new junior baddies. "Descendants 2" will introduce Uma played by China Anne McClain who will be the daughter of Ursula in "Little Mermaid", Gil played by Dylan Playfair who will be the son of Gaston in "Beauty and the Beast" and Harry played by Thomas Doherty who will be the son of Captain Hook in "Peter Pan" as reported in TV Line.
