'Pokemon Sun and Moon' News & Update: Catching Shiny Pokemon Tips; Update on PKHex Save Glitch
Players of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" have been into catching shiny Pokémon lately. They are spending hours in an effort to finally unlock their own shiny starter pocket monsters like Litten, Rowlet and Popplio.
But this is understandable since it is really hard to get a shiny Pokémon. In fact, it was reported that the chance of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" players seeing one has been estimated to one out of 4,096.
The good thing is that there are good ways to capture that elusive "Pokemon Sun and Moon" shinies. It can get a bit frustrating as players try their luck but being patient is the way to go in order to successfully obtain any shiny starter Pokemon.
First of all, make sure that you have potions in your item list before heading out to catch shiny Pokémon. Pack on elixirs, berries and ethers as well. Bringing along adrenaline orb will be helpful in battles in case you face one as you hunt in "Pokemon Sun and Moon."
Next, choose the method that you think is the easiest for you. One example is the soft reset shiny hunting method where you can get your starter shiny Pokemon by continuously resetting the game until you are given your shinies. You may stick to one method or shift to another until you succeed in getting a shiny in "Pokemon Sun and Moon."
Meanwhile, there were reports that there is a bug in "Pokemon Sun and Moon." Based on details shared by players on Reddit, there is an issue with saving inside a Pokemon Center.
"Pokemon Sun and Moon" players shared that when they saved in the Pokemon Center and turned off their game, the unknown glitch is activated and cause gamers to get stuck behind a wall when they turn the game on again.
It turned out that this is now really a glitch in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" game, rather it is the effect of using a program called PKHeX. This allow players to change their Pokemon into shiny or boost their stats so using the tool is a form of cheating.
But PKHex has a negative effect since it will automatically modify saved files. Thus, if you do not want to lose your files, avoid the program. Then again, the latest update about on PKHex stated that the bug was already addressed so the save glitch should not be a problem to "Pokemon Sun and Moon" players anymore.
