Speculations are rife that since the show will have a sudden shift in the timeline then the young actor could not possibly pass off as an older man then it might be wise to have him replaced. According to the source, Turner confirmed this when asked about the continuation of the show, "There's a big time jump between two of the books and Ross gets older - and I can't pull off the mid-50s!"
