Jane brought Rafael to church together with Michael on "Jane the Virgin" Season 3, but left their son as she thought he was too young at church. At the church, Rafael received a sealed envelope that tells about her true identity from the Mother Superior he met.
Rafael has seen flashbacks of his childhood, during the time his mother had a conversation with a nun in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. Rafael told Jane and Michael about the stolen art of his father he's been holding.
Meanwhile, as remembered Jane's husband has survived from a gunshot in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. GamenGuide relayed that Jane also dated her long time crush Sam while Michael was still in coma. Thankfully, Michael has recovered from the traumatic event and now he was still on the process of remembering his past.

Later on Jane and Michael of "Jane the Virgin" took a tour on the church and came more flashbacks in his memory. Rafael also met the Mother Superior wherein he remembered she was involved with the stolen artwork of his father. The sealed envelope will reveal Rafael's true birth certificate, telling that he is not a real Solano in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3.
