After more than a month since Rebekka Hay started a petition in Change.org for producers of “Grimm” to make a Season 7, the petition has reached 11,500 signatures. Are the numbers enough to convince Netflix to produce “Grimm” Season 7?
Besides the Hay-initiated petition, there is a second online petition – now with 15,000 supporters – asking Nick Burkhardt and others to continue with “Grimm” Season 7. Hay, a German who grew up with Grimm Fairy tales, said the drama series took the stories and developed boldly a gripping and fascinating drama.
Season 6 Premiere
As of now, fans of the American drama series are hanging in the air if Season 6, which premieres in January 2017, would be the finale season or there would be a “Grimm” Season 7. The hope is also in the heart of the cast as well as David Giuntoli who would debut as a director if the push for another season becomes a reality, Mobilenapps reports.
Hay cited in the petition the change in “Grimm” Season 6 air date by NBC to Friday night which she said is a death slot for the TV show as justification for cancellation of the series because of poor ratings. From an average 6.36 million viewers in “Grimm” Season 1, the numbers went up to 7.97 million in Season 3 but gradually went down to 5.97 million by Season 5. What else should fans expect in "Grimm" Season 7?
Change Focus
According to reports, if there would be a “Grimm” Season 7, there story could shift focus to Eve/Juliette-Nick story from Adalind-Nick. The love triangle would be among Nick, Eve and Juliette instead of among Adalind, Nick and Juliette.
However, there is also a rumor that instead of NBC coming up with “Grimm” Season 7, the station would have a new project, a spinoff as a treat for the fans. The speculated spinoff would focus instead on Monroe and Rosalie.
