‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13 Spoilers: Callie Torres is Not Dead Because Shonda Rhimes Loved Her!

It's the all new "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 and so far, the show has given us enough input to like and not to like the next episodes of the show. But there's more to the medical drama than just plain storyline. Over the course of its seasons, fans get the feeling of attachment to the cast; even dealing with heartbreaks when their favorite actor gets killed.

Unfortunately, this has been the trend on "Grey's Anatomy" whenever someone is bound to live the show. They get killed and mostly, in a very tragic way. But guess what? One of our favorite character; Callie Torres is not dead which means, the possibility of her returning to "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 is likely.

At the end of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12, Sara Ramirez, who plays Callie Torres on the show wrapped up the season; well, not only the season, but her whole tenure in the show. A subtle and indirect announcement on twitter said it all, but showrunner Shonda Rhimes said, she had other plans for Callie.

During her interview few months ago, Rhimes said "I felt really good that we had shot that ending and that she said she wanted to take this break and we were able to give it to her because I love the woman and I want to do everything for her. It all worked out in that sense."

Unlike Derek (Patrick Dempsey), Izzie (Katherine Heigl) and the rest of the cast of "Grey's Anatomy, they all got killed. In the case of Callie's role, Rhimes was able to create something that will make fans think, she's just away for the meantime.

Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) is Callie's ex-wife, who is also painted as a womanizing pedia surgeon. They have a daughter and unfinished business that might just press Sara Ramirez return to the show.
