There have been reports that Robert Downey Jr. is no longer interested to be the legendary Tony Stark. After three series, the 51 year old actor is allegedly now willing to give other actors a chance to do the superhero role.
However, Robert Downey Jr. was reported to be willing to give life to Tony Stark once again if "Hacksaw Ridge" director Mel Gibson will direct the "Iron Man 4." If there's a grain of truth to that, fans should be happy because Mel Gibson has been reported to express his interest in making the Marvel film.
According to Total Film magazine, Mel Gibson has said that it might be interesting to direct "Iron Man 4." The popular director has even said that he is thinking of ways on how to make the Marvel film a bit more different from its previous series.

On the other side of the coin, there have also been reports that "Iron Man 4" will push through but its main protagonist will no longer be Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Speculations started when Robert Downey Jr. posted on Twitter an image of Riri Williams with a caption about Marvel's new generation.
Riri Williams is a 15 year old fictional character who is a brilliant student from Massachusetts Institute of Technolog. With Tony Stark helping her make her own prototype armour, Riri Williams could easily be the next protagonist in the "Iron Man 4."
