With hit shows taking a long hiatus now seemingly the trend, "Steven Universe" Season 4 is following suit. After airing its ninth episode, the next air date of "Steven Universe" Season 4 is reportedly going to be put on hold.
The latest episode of "Steven Universe" Season 4 was titled "Three Gems and a Baby." The Christmas episode aired last December 1 followed the celebration of the Universe family as they reminisce on their previous winter experiences. Greg singing "I Could Never Be Ready" while playing his guitar signals the flashback sequences that show the characters' colorful experiences.
One of the scenes saw the Gems essentially kidnapping baby Steve. By the end of the "Steven Universe" Season 4 episode, the Gems then tried to teach Steven how to shapeshift. They then eventually failed, drawing the conclusion that he really is just a normal baby. Greg then appears to take Steven, with Garnet apologizing.
"Three Gems and a Baby" is actually considered by fans as a comeback episode, as it returned after the hiatus of "Steven Universe" Season 4 for two months. The last episode before it was aired back in September.
As for the premiere date of the next episode of "Steven Universe" Season 4, there has been no official word as of yet. With this, fans of the hit cartoon show are fearing that the show might actually be taking a long and indefinite hiatus once again.
