How does The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt look this good? This is ridiculous. CD Projekt RED's latest is just leaps and bounds above anything else on the way. These stunning new screens show Geralt of Rivia riding around on horseback and about to get involved in a street brawl. The man just can't stay out of trouble, can he?
It's just funny that such a stunning graphics engine is used to show horrors. Check out Geralt calmly riding through what was obviously a battlefield right after the fight, traversing a stunningly rendered swamp. CD Project RED has promised us a massive amount of locations to explore and each successive image and trailer released shows just how true that is. But hey, if we're given an open world to explore it can't all look the same.
These screens were released as part of an announcement of the new CD Project RED forums, which will give you a place to interact with the developers and discuss all your favorite games of theirs, like The Witcher and CyberPunk 2077. The latter is perhaps almost as anticipated than The Witcher 3, seeing as how it's based on the popular tabletop role-playing game of the same name and is set in a dystopian future, a far cry from the fantasy world that the developer is now famous for.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set for a release sometime this year on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, where it will be completely DRM-free in keeping with the developer's usual wishes. Also keep an eye out later this year for the Fantasy Flight Games board game adapation The Witcher Adventure Game, which looks equally awesome. It's going to be a great year.
