Gearbox's Borderlands 2 has been pretty good about celebrating the holidays with a number of Headhunter DLC packs -- for Halloween, we had T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest, there was the Horrible Hunger of the Ravenous Wattle Gobbler for Thanksgiving, and most recently, How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day for Christmas. With Valentines Day fast approaching, it's been revealed that Pandoran heart throb Mad Moxxi has her very own Headhunter pack on the way, Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre.
According to IGN, the pack will be here next week, February 11, and will cost a mere $3. Like the other packs, expect a collection of holiday themed skins for each of the Vault Hunters, as well as a holiday themed boss to take down. With the pack releasing so close to Valentine's Day, my money's on some kid of fat, hairy Cupid.
The story revisits the Pandoran equivalant of the Hatfield-McCoy debacle, the Hodunk-Zaford feud. A Goliath from each family will be married soon, and to make sure nothing goes wrong, Moxxi sends the Vault Hunters on a fetch quest to mix up some spanish fly. This being Borderlands, of course nothing will go smoothly.
Once Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre is out, gamers will have one last piece of DLC to look forward to before Gearbox closes its doors on Borderlands 2. The company announced that the final Headhunter DLC is due out in April as Sir Hammerlock and the Son of Crawmerax. We'll have more details on that as the information comes in.
