Seems like everyone is getting into the Holiday spirit. Just last week Saints Row IV released their Christmas DLC that saw you battling evil gingerbread men with candy canes and seasonal dubstep, and now Borderlands 2 is getting in on the act. 2K Games has just released the third add-on in the Headhunter series, entitled How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day. Marcus is the arms dealer you'll purchase weapons from during the game and in this pack a whole train full of his guns goes missing. Marcus enlists the Vault Hunters to search the snowy town of Gingerton to find it, where they'll find vicious snowmen, holiday jingles (sung by a bandit) and an ugly holiday sweater. (There's always a sweater.)
How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day ends with a showdown against the Abominable Mister Tinder Snowflake. Beat this snowy beast and you'll unlock a snowman head for your Vault Hunter, one with a different facial expression for each character class. You'll also get a new character skin for each class- a Santa outfit for Salvador the Gunzerker and your typical ugly Christmas sweater for Krieg the Psycho.
This is the last of the three "Headhunter" packs- they're not included in the Season Pass, annoyingly, but they offer smaller (and cheaper) expansions to the main game. The other two packs are T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest and The Horrible Hunger of the Ravenous Waffle Gobbler.
Don't forget that Borderlands 2 is currently available for free for Playstation Plus users, which makes it that much easier to pick up the DLC. Borderlands is known for having some excellent, diverse DLC that really expands the game with each pack so you definitely can do no wrong picking up a few. It's hard not to be a bit miffed that the season pass doesn't give you all of the DLC that's available but ah well, it's all cheap enough.
