MotoGP 14 Announced, Going Next-Gen as PlayStation 4 Exclusive [VIDEO]

MotoGP 14 Confirmed for PS4, No Love for Xbox One

Good news for gearheads looking for boasting rights. Developer Milestone has announced a new addition to the MotoGP series, the predicatbly MotoGP 14. It'll release on a number of platforms, but only PlayStation 4 gamers will get to try it on a next-gen console.

According to a press release, development on the game will coincide with the start of the MotoGP season. It's early yet, so there's a bare gathering of information available on the game, but "more than 100 available riders, all the official manufacturers, all racing classes, and 18 tracks based on the Official MotoGP World Championship" will all be included.

Improving on the last game in the series, "a completely redesigned engine will see its maximum appearance not only on PlayStation 4 but also on the past gen platforms; a new audio engine, new real time lighting effects, graphic details that have never seen before on a two wheeled game and, finally, with a richer and evolved Multiplayer experience."

Said the developer's Game Director, Andrea Basilio, "MotoGP 14 and the development on the new PS4 platform represent an important step in the two wheel videogame world. With MotoGP 13 we have established the bases of the gameplay and the physics exploring - together with the community -the players' needs. This new chapter introduces many new features which will be unveiled during the upcoming months and which we are sure will satisfy picky's 'pads.'"

The game is scheduled to release on PC, Xbox 360, PS Vita, PS3, and PS4 in June. The first race of the season, the Commercial Bank Grand Prix of qatar, takes place on the Losail International Circuit, and is scheduled for March 23, so expect more information on the game around then.
