'Skyrim Special Edition' Latest News & Update: New Patch 1.2 Out on Steam Today After Patch 1.1 Proved More Problematic

Developer Bethesda is singing the tune of patching the old patch for flagship "Skyrim Special Edition" after update 1.1 apparently caused certain issues.

Just a day after "Skyrim Special Edition" patch 1.1 was released, Bethesda was quick to respond to complaints that sounds were affected. This led to a follow-up patch 1.2 that is now available through Steam. This new update corrected the problem, though unclear if it simply reverted to old sound features.

According to update 1.2 patch note, there are improvements on stability and performance of "Skyrim Special Edition." Specially mentioned were issues in relation to alt-tab control when playing, crashing incidents when changing load order of mods and when reverting to human form from warewolf. While on the graphics side, water flow rendering was fixed to avoid glass-like graphics. Also, bugs in "Skyrim Special Edition" browsing mode was fixed.

Meanwhile, PC Gamer reported that this update is still in Beta so there is no need to fix if there is no problem in game's current state. This is dependent on per device basis so there is no uniformity of issues. At any rate, those who suffers hell playing "Skyrim Special Edition" can proceed to Steam library for a quick fix.

What gamers can do to counter pressing "Skyrim Special Edition" problem is log in to Steam then right-click to get into Properties Tab. Select Beta in the dropdown to prompt update. Needless to say, a little patience is needed until "Skyrim Special Edition" appear in the library in its Beta feature.

So what really is the problem behind "Skyrim Special Edition" update 1.1? Remember that since game release, gamers were complaining about problems albeit improved graphics. With crashing, quest problems and others, Bethesda quickly attempted to swat the issues with patch 1.1. Then other issues quickly spawn so the need for "Skyrim Special Edition" patch 1.2.
