Tekken Revolution News: Vampiress Eliza Out This Month, Have a Closer Look at the Fan Picked Fighter [VIDEO]

The Female Vampire Eliza Debuts in Tekken Revolution Later This Month...in Japan

After fans cast their votes to pick a brand new fighter to be featured in the free-to-play fighter over the summer, we haven't heard much concerning the vampy Eliza, or even had a peek at her. 'Til now that is.

According to Shoryuken, the brand spanking new combatant will be making her Tekken debut later this month in Revolution, coming by way of an update to Japan on the 19th of this month. When she'll hit other areas remains to be seen, but it should be shortly thereafter she makes her Japanese debut.

Eliza was the fan favorite out of a vote on Facebook that gave fans some very bizarre options, the more colorful of which included a zombie bride, giant praying mantis, female version of Paul, and a flopping, flapping eg shooting salmon. Fans could also vote for a run of the mill old man, and a female Tekken Force member.

Definitely some odd possibilities to say the least, but keep in mind that there's long been an established history of...shall we say "unique" characters in the Tekken series: Mechanized space ninjas, boxing kangaroos and dinosaurs, bears, a tiny farting dinosaur, cyborgs, robots, training dummies brought to life, demons, devils, and so on.

There's not much of a history on Eliza just yet, save that similar to how Jinpachi was in the Mishima Honmaru, Eliza was imprisoned by the family of Lili Rochefort, held deep underground their estate. Her outfit is a bit similar to the succubus Morrigan from Capcom's own fighter, the short-lived Darkstalkers series.

She sports an interesting power wave move, unlike any other character in Revolution. While it's easily avoided, it's also powerful as all hell. It can hit opponents while they're down, and even be used as a starter or finisher for combos. Expect this to be a heavy favorite of spammers.

Eliza's bloodsucker tendencies are in full display, mostly in her throws. It can't be seen from the demo below, but I suspect her sucking an opponent dry could be a way for her to restore some health.

Despite the many years stuck underground, Eliza can still be a bit sleepy at times, and will actually catch up on some Z's during fights. It's unclear if this is some kind of a recovery after performing heavy moves or combos, or possibly a taunt.

As you might expect, she's very nimble and quick on her feet, though not quite as acrobatic as Lili. Check her out in the trailer below, and we'll be sure to keep you posted once we hear when you can expect to see her in areas outside of Japan.
