‘The Surge’ PS4, Xbox One, PC Release Date On May 16; Pre-Order On Steam Gets Bonus Items, 10% Discount

"The Surge" has been featured in a recent press release noting that the action RPG has now gone gold. It is expected that the game will be a multi-platformer on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 16 both in both digital and retail stores. Take note that the game is available for pre-order on Steam with a 10 percent discount and other bonus items.

Get Three Free Items With "The Surge" Via Steam

"The Surge" fans on PC may preorder the game on Steam and get the Creo PS01 Limited Rig, the Dowsing OS Proximity Sensor Add-on Implant (Secret-finding Implant) and the Mechanized Counterweight V.0.9 Implant (Physical Damage Boost Injectable). The press release further unveiled that "The Surge" will also feature dedicated enhancements for the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro.

Take note that PS4 users may opt for a quality mode with dynamic 4k support running at 30 frames per second. A performance mode is also available that allows "The Surge" gamers to play the game at 1080p running at 60fps thanks to a free update released on launch day, WCCF Tech reported.

It is expected that High Dynamic Range or HDR support will also be included in "The Surge" via a second update shortly after its release. Previously at the Gamescom 2016, Deck13 revealed that the team was aiming for a native resolution of 1080p on the PS4 and 900p on the Xbox One. Furthermore, "The Surge" is set to last 15 to 25 hours depending on the side content completed.

New "The Surge" Trailer Revealed

In other news, the Sci-fi action role-playing game "The Surge" has been featured in a new trailer. The video focused on the equipment systems and loot found within the game. It is expected that loot and gear will be integral to gameplay, Niche Games reported.

"The Surge" players will have greater control over the types of loot they get from defeated enemies. When in combat, gamers may individually target certain body parts they opt to damage with a combination of vertical and horizontal attacks. The key to succeeding in "The Surge" is said to be learning to balance risk and reward.
