This move is a part of the upcoming "League of Legends" Mythic Content Overhaul update.

"The Mythic Content Overhaul begins with patch 12.6 next week. Today is your last chance to spend your Prestige Points-they expire Thursday, Mar. 24 at 1:00 PM PDT and won't roll over to the new system!" said Riot Games via its official "LoL" Twitter account

This only means that you still have a few hours until the Prestige Point is removed.

Riot Games' PP currency will be replaced by the so-called Mythic Essence, a combination of Prestige Points and Gemstones.

The giant game creator said that having only one in-game currency in the Summoner's Rift is more efficient than having more than two.

However, the only downside is that Prestige Points will completely vanish. On the other hand, Gemstones will be converted to Mythic Essence.

However, the Gemstone-to-ME conversion will only have a 10-1 rate once the Phase 1 Mythic Content Overhaul arrives.

Other Changes To Expect

Riot Games' official blog post reported that the current Gemstone Shop would be replaced with a Mythic Shop. On the other hand, the game developer will increase ME drop rates from the Masterwork Chests to compensate for Prestige Points' removal.

Aside from these, Riot Games will also re-introduce some Prestige skins that players can purchase using their Mythic Essence. Here are the following skins to be unlocked:

  • Pulsefire Thresh Prestige Edition
  • K/DA Kai'Sa Prestige Edition
  • Battle Queen Diana Prestige Edition
  • Arcanist Zoe Prestige Edition
  • Spirit Blossom Teemo Prestige Edition
  • PROJECT: Irelia Prestige Edition

A new Mythic thematic ward skin is also expected to be released. There will be a new Mythic thematic emote as well.
