'Fortnite' No-Build Mode Proves Popular Among Players; Could Be Made Permanent Soon

'Fortnite' No Build Mode Is A SMASH HIT Among Players---Will Epic Make It Permanent?

"Fortnite's" no build mode was introduced recently as part of the battle royale game's Chapter 3 Season 2 story. But for something originally intended to be temporary, it might now become permanent.

There's no official confirmation of the no-build mode being permanent. However, since Epic Games still says that the mode is a limited-time deal, writes GamingBible. But players already love the lack of mighty fortresses in the game, with many saying that "Fortnite" is now a "better" game because of it.

Many folks went to social media to air their thoughts on the new "Fortnite" no build mode, which is almost always positive. Twitter user and Twitch streamer ChicaLive tweeted this recently regarding the reception of the no-build mode:

Another Twitter user called Peter Fortnite Leaks tweeted that the mode "seems to be finished," further saying that the feature should make an appearance moving forward:

But this one could be the kicker. A dataminer also shared on Twitter what looks to be "proof" that the "Fortnite" no build mode will remain in the game, this time being called "solo no build battle royale." Here is their tweet, which allegedly shows a screenshot of the mode within the game's files:

Despite the positive clamor for no build mode to remain a permanent feature, it is still apparent that the mode will only last until Mar. 29 as per dataminers (via GameSpot). But while the mode is one of the centerpieces of the current season, players who love building their fortresses in "Fortnite" will still be able to get their fix by going for the Team Rumble and Creative modes.

How The 'Fortnite' No Build Mode Works-And Why Players Are LOVING It

YouTuber SypherPK posted a video trying the "Fortnite" no build mode recently, and he seems to be quite excited about the new gameplay mechanics that come with the mode:

Many players (even long-timers) have almost always said that building was what kept them from enjoying the game in the first place. As per the original GameSpot report, people who focus on building fortifications (aka "Build Warriors") would prove to be too good to go up against for most, especially for new players who might feel like the forts make the game "feel unfair and demoralizing."

But with the build mode temporarily disabled, it seems like many of these players who felt alienated by the game are jumping back in. Even times, those who avoided "Fortnite" entirely just because of the building mechanic are now trying it out for the first time. And it seems like they're having a blast.

For now, it seems like Epic Games would be none-too-wise to not capitalize on the mode's popularity. But by implementing it permanently, they might risk splitting their massive player base in half, which Epic might not be too keen on doing for the foreseeable future, at least.
