Players of the first-person shooter Call of Duty: Warzone who are using a mouse and keyboard seem to be at a disadvantage against those who are playing the game with controllers. Those who want to make it out of the Gulag alive will have to be very skillful or else they get defeated rather easily.

Unfair Advantage

Call of Duty: Warzone players who died in battle royale mode still have a chance to get redeployed on the battlefield by fighting in the Gulag. In the Gulag, players have to try their best to defeat their foes in 1v1 combat using random loadouts, which may consist of a handgun or shotgun, along with some tactical gear.

Recently, mouse and keyboard users are finding out the hard way that those who are playing Warzone using controllers may have an unfair advantage. This is largely due to controller aim assist where players do not need to have impeccable aim just to shoot their opponents accurately. Just point it in the direction where the opposing player is and press the fire button. Yes, it's that simple!

Redditor DefunctHunk shared that they had a pretty good Kill-Death ratio on the original Call of Duty: Warzone, but now, they are unable to win a single Gulag in Warzone 2.0. "Suddenly every enemy is an absolute beast [in] this game and I play like a bot in comparison. I just can't keep up anymore," said DefunctHunk.

Another person has a possible explanation as to why some players seemingly got good all of a sudden. Normally, players will have to contend with "aim sway" or the sudden reticle movement when switching from hip-fire to ADS (Aiming Down Sights). This requires players to move the reticle a little bit for a more accurate shot. However, the issue of aim sway is resolved by controller aim assist automatically.

Players just have to aim their weapons in the direction where the enemy is and the controller will do most of the heavy work. While aim assist is nothing new in Call of Duty, it is noticeably stronger in Warzone 2.0.

Frustrating Experience

Many PC players are voicing their frustration about the unfair advantage controller users seem to have in Warzone 2.0. Redditor spreik said that mouse and keyboard users are doomed to fail in the current state of the game. They even went on to say that MnK users should just pack up and find something new to play until the developers do something about this.

Redditor tharussianphil also said that the game doesn't seem to penalize players who are actively moving around while shooting as they are still landing shots accurately.

While others are displeased by their recent Gulag experience against controller users, some players took it upon themselves to use the map to their advantage. Redditor YouHangUpOnMeAgain shared that by pushing right immediately when the fight starts, players can position themselves in a way that would make it easier for them to land headshots on unsuspecting enemies.

Have you played Call of Duty: Warzone recently? If so, do you have a similar experience when fighting against those who are using controllers?
