New Peaks Reached

On Sunday alone, the peak saw nearly six million mods installed, setting a new record since the game's launch in 2015. The surge in downloads was noted by CHAD: A Fallout 76 Podcast, coinciding with the premiere of the show. Interestingly, other Fallout titles are also experiencing similar heightened activity on Nexus Mods.

New Vegas Joins the Fray

The modding frenzy extends beyond Fallout 4, as Fallout: New Vegas also breaks its previous download record. With 11,374,516 mods installed on Sunday, the game continues to captivate players with its immersive wasteland experience.

The recent success of the Fallout series, particularly Fallout 76, can be attributed to the heightened interest sparked by the Fallout show's release on Prime Video. Fallout 76 witnessed its most prosperous day on Steam since records began, underscoring the ripple effect of the show's popularity on the gaming community.

Analyzing the Trends

While Fallout 3 hasn't experienced a significant surge in mod popularity, the preference for Fallout 4 and New Vegas can be attributed to various factors. Fallout 4's accessibility with modern controls and visuals appeals to newcomers, while New Vegas's potential significance in the show's future seasons prompts fans to revisit the Mojave.
